Wooing breezy February

Hola!

Finally, after a year of silence I was able to press some letters again here. Yes, it's February again.

I went to our local city hall early Tuesday morning. I was to file an affidavit regarding my grandmother's lost senior citizen card. A staff in the office called my attention and asked me what I needed. I have with me an affidavit of loss which was hot from the notary. He told me that my grandmother needed to sign it first. Then, he asked me random questions. He was someone around late twenties going thirty. Physically he was ROUND and bald. He had this weird smile while asking where I work and such. I answered his questions courteously, then left.

(Random thought) So, this is not a GGSS (Gandang Ganda Sa Sarili) moment. I just thought, looks do matter. I remembered the young dashing King David. He probably was not noticed if he has a round barbaric appearance. For the record, I am not a ten. I am not also that responsible with taking care of my looks. That morning, I combed my hair, pat powder on my face and had lipstick on my lips. I need to look older for people in the city hall to treat me like an adult. I do look like an teen in her earlier years.

Anyway, I went straight to the market. I bought some stuff for my grandmother's store. Basically, this morning was filled with errands. I also bought fruits. There was a stall with pomelo. I bargained for it of course and when I was contented with the price I bought two. The man there was very kind and he gave the peeled one on display (Yay! for freebies!).

I can't help but compare the men that I met earlier today. The first was some presko who approached me in a creepy way. The other one was just doing his job and then eventually left something memorable...

Well, these tips were for the guys out there:

1. Don't/ Never approach someone and ask them like an interviewer.

      - This will more likely creep them up and a big turn off. It will also make you look like FC (feeling close). Like the first guy that I met that morning.

2. When they need something "just" attend to the need. period.
    - Don't make follow up after that. Let them approach you again, which was surely bound to happen. Girls who were confident enough or has the "ganda factor" (which I know guys will notice well) would surely be surprised that you didn't hit on them and make them wonder why... believe me this will be a good sign ;)

3. After attending to the need let them feel that you can approach them "again" anytime.
   - Don't just turn your back on them like a cool snub. It may be true that you should not hit on them on the first meeting but apply courtesy. Either you were able to help her with the need or not but at least say goodbye or say they can approach you again if they need anything else.

4. Smile before she leaves.
    - You don't flash that killer smile when you meet her. Apply self control. Flash that amazing smile before she leaves. This will guarantee her that she can come back anytime. It's better than saying see you again.

5. (Optional) If you have anything to give (freebies) offer her some.
  - No one says no to free things. This will make her remember you without saying it. She will also think that this gesture's sweet.

*Tips here will make it look like the girl's after you. You only hit on them on the succeeding meetings. This will make them think that finally you noticed them. It will boost their confidence and think that someone who's a snub like you was able to like them. Saying... "Oooh I think he liked me for who I am not for what I look like blah blah... "

Chivalry and courtesy still makes a girl swoon. When you don't hit on them like a ravaging animal this will surely leave an impression on them... That you are different; unlike what they believed that all men were animals. You're different....

However, if she DOESN'T like you... well don't force it boy....

Some far away land

January 18, 2013
The first get away of the year!
It was really far. A 3 hour journey at most. Everybody had their videos taken when they jump off a pretty steep rock onto the water. Unfortunately, mine was not taken. (bitter) Well, it was really relaxing though. I had taken off my mind from the complicated life in Manila. Nothing much to say, I enjoyed the longganisa at breakfast and sisig barbeque that night. I forgot; it was really cold there. From the time we get off the bus and we get on it again. It's actually warm in McDonald's that time.

Once a upon a first kltutzy date

One night in my innocent third LPNNHS days… my crush asked me something I thought was unimportant.

Guy: Are you free this Saturday? Could you accompany me to buy some requirements for our school project?

KG: (without thinking) Sure.

After an hour or two I realized; what was that conversation about again? I asked my classmates if there is something that we need to buy for a school project, surprisingly most of them answered none. Well, knowing me I didn’t gave it any thought and the days passed. Finally it’s Saturday.  My best friend, Step also asked a favor if I can accompany her to do some paper works at the computer shop.

*I just realized just now while writing this. Why am I always asked by people to accompany them?

While we are in the mall suddenly I thought that I might have forgotten something. Alas! I remembered I was to accompany my crush to buy something. I and Step rushed to the place where I and the guy were supposed to meet. At first I was hesitant because half an hour had already passed maybe he had gone to buy it by alone. Step told me that I was really stupid. She told that I should have told it to her because it was obviously an invitation for a date. Date?! I laughed hard so much that my stomach hurts. We reached the certain and found him waiting there. I approached him and apologized for being late.

KG: Sorry, I almost forgot it. What are you going to buy anyway because I still need to accompany Step. She is tagging along with us too because she also need to buy something.

Guy: okay, why don’t we first finish Step’s paper works then buy the things afterwards.

The three of us went to a rental shop but unfortunately Step cannot open the files that she needed. We head to the bookstore and finally she was able to buy the stuff that she needed.

KG: We’ve bought everything that Step needed. By the way what are the things that you needed to buy?

He pulled me to a corner and looked me then he said…

Guy: I just want to invite you to watch a movie with me perhaps?

                                                                  EHHHHHH??!!

I've never watch a movie in a movie house before so this moment was a total shocker for me. Time froze for a moment. I suddenly heard my parents’ voices…

Scribbled life

Awake.

How does a random voice make such an impact into a life of apathy.. every note which strived itself to leave a lasting impression. Music.. I never thought that you are as beautiful as a figure of a stranger passing by. The mystery of your sound echoed and called me back to life. It softened the sharp edges of the thorns of my cursed life.

I thought I never had the ear for any melody; but you proved me wrong. You made me realize that there had been a place in my life where rythm lives.. it had just been sleeping for a long time.

Your voice was the lullaby that awakened me.. and gave my heart a chance to rest in an unfammiliar yet warm melody.

Some random night to remember

I think it was this same time last year when this piece of my life was formed. Christmas season had just started and Ayala triangle’s lights and sound spectacle was just on its first week. I am at the office that day and I was to go home. I went to the rest room to freshen up and be ready for the rush hour.  Everything that I needed was at my bag. I dropped by at a convenient store to grab something to eat. When I was to pay for the snack my coin purse went missing; so I rushed back to the office and see if I left it there. Gladly I did. The sad part is that the guard who took care of it went home already and not only him so as my office mates. Desperate me, I asked the other guard if he has some money and he doesn't have extra.

PROBLEM: How to get home with a missing wallet?

SOLUTION: Borrow money.

Luckily, I remembered I have change left with a friend who is nearby. I told him what happened and asked him some money. The great news is that he also didn’t bring his wallet and had a few coins left in his pocket.

PROBLEM: How to get home without money?

SOLUTION: Walk?!

I was left with no choice it is getting darker and there is no other way to go home that cold night. Somehow, I blamed my friend for not bringing the change with him and aired all my frustration via text. I guess he pitied me a lot and agreed to tag along.

                                                        Ayala triangle Light and Sounds

We agreed to meet at the triangle. I didn’t know that there was a light and sounds spectacle. It was my first time seeing it and it was so beautiful. I almost cried that time (I think I did shed some tears).

Home made remedies for common girly problems

Whiteheads and dry hair are common problems that I don’t usually deal with. Going to the salon or having a facial will make me spend quiet a sum of money. Since I was just slacking off at home and bored at the same time I tried some home remedy stuff:

Home made remedy for whiteheads:

Mix 3tbsp. of cornstarch with a table 2tbsp. of vinegar. Let the mixture stay in your face for half an hour. There will be a stingy sensation. If the sensation is unbearable wash it off immediately. Do this once a week.

Footwear fiasco

There had been a lot of times that my footwear had been torn. Honestly, most of the time it wasn't my fault. My feet are somehow bigger than usual (as for my height). Good thing is that, I can foresee such incidents in my life. I always carry some emergency repair stuff. Most of times it was fixed and if not then I just act it all out. A lot of good looking shoes are out in the market right now but my feet can surely tell if it will last long or not. The following footwear that will be part of the crimes that I've committed were actually unnamed. I can tell they are of poor quality. Now, I've become wiser (I did?) and I always go for leather and branded shoes. When it comes to shoes I think the price do tells me if it will last or not. Why be stingy to something that can last for a long time. I'd prefer pricey, plain and simple looking footwear than shining shimmering cheap shoes which only lasts lucky if for a month :)

The boot that that was un-heeled

It was an ordinary day in college and we are loitering around the catwalk. I was all hyper and we are having a good time. One of my friends suddenly noticed a black rubber thing lying on the floor. Obviously that was mine. I never knew that it would fall off.
