There had been a lot of times that my footwear had been torn. Honestly, most of the time it wasn't my fault. My feet are somehow bigger than usual (as for my height). Good thing is that, I can foresee such incidents in my life. I always carry some emergency repair stuff. Most of times it was fixed and if not then I just act it all out. A lot of good looking shoes are out in the market right now but my feet can surely tell if it will last long or not. The following footwear that will be part of the crimes that I've committed were actually unnamed. I can tell they are of poor quality. Now, I've become wiser (I did?) and I always go for leather and branded shoes. When it comes to shoes I think the price do tells me if it will last or not. Why be stingy to something that can last for a long time. I'd prefer pricey, plain and simple looking footwear than shining shimmering cheap shoes which only lasts lucky if for a month :)
The boot that that was un-heeled
It was an ordinary day in college and we are loitering around the catwalk. I was all hyper and we are having a good time. One of my friends suddenly noticed a black rubber thing lying on the floor. Obviously that was mine. I never knew that it would fall off.

PROBLEM: What to do when your heel was lying around and how not to be caught as the suspect?
SOLUTION: Take the evidence away. Volunteer to eliminate the evidence that way you would not be suspected.
I dared to pick it up and just threw it to the trash bin.
PROBLEM SOLVED!!!! (That’s what I thought)
I had trouble with walking since the other heel of my shoe was missing. We all sat down at the gutter near the gates.
Classmate: wow! You are wearing a pair of boots today…
Me: (uh oh…) ah yeah.
Then they were curious all of a sudden and tried to mess with my boots.
Classmate: what happened seems like the other heel is missing?
Me: (oh my…) huh?!
We looked at each other and broke a great laugh.
Christmas Cinderella
It was our company Christmas party. I was wearing a dress that I borrowed from my best friend along with a pair of sandals. I was now putting on make-up and setting my hair. As I walked back to our office from the powder room something was separated from me…
PROBLEM: What to do when the heel of your sandals were torn?
I composedly walked back to the office and looked for some quick fix gadget in my pouch.
SOLUTION: I found a lot of transparent “Sanrio” in my pouch. Place a huge amount of it around the end and the middle part of the sandals. This way the heel won’t be separated. The tip part isn’t that important because most of the time the fingers of our feet was putting pressure on it and the part that was most likely separated from the sandals were the end and the middle part.
* Another good thing about the transparent “Sanrio” was that it isn’t really obvious whatever color your sandals may be. *
We all went to A-venue event hall and I sat quietly. I can’t really move around and be hyped up because of my “fragile” footwear. There was more like a singing idol contest. One of my colleagues was all excited and then ran towards the stage when one of the singers was performing. Since I was the one holding the camera I ran after him. Near the stage is where the CEO and other bosses were sitting. I was near the stage and was to get a picture of him when somebody pushed me. I tripped and before I knew it my heel was gone!
PROBLEM: How to find a heel under the bosses table????
SOLUTION: asking for help isn’t that bad since it’s a big place.
My usual response to this kind of scenarios was just to burst in laughter. When I came to our table to seek help I was really in tears laughing already. All of my officemates helped me find it. We distributed ourselves finding my lost heel. I head back first because it was really hard when your other foot was three inches taller than the other. Luckily, one of my colleagues found it and we were all happy.
The night was filled with pictures, laughter and good memories.
Lesson #1: Regularly check the condition of your footwear.
Lesson #2: Always bring quick fix gadgets.
Lesson#3: Never act things out. People will draw closer to you when you are truthful to them.
Lesson#4: Don’t be all serious when facing an embarrassing scenario. Laughing it off will make you look radiant than stressing it all out.
*Every torn things has a quick fix; but of course it is not as good as new. If you don't want to repair things then do find something that is durable and will stand through any circumstances. Forcing to repair things over and over again would only cause you exhaustion. There are things that we should better let go and find a new one. Everything has a specific time of service or stay in our lives. As much as we want to keep everything we can't do so. Holding back things will not only add burden to you but will also cause you so unhappiness. We all deserve good things in life. Always find something that is worth it and would last in any kind of misfortune.*
